Well, this week I learned that the Millennials outnumbered the Baby Boomers. The first time that any generation has outnumbered the Baby Boomers.
Perhaps that is why there has partly contributed to the recent attention to social change and social justice.
I realize that the residents of the comfort zone liked things just the way that they were. It felt safe.

Organized.
Structured.
I get that. The comfort zone does have some elements of coziness to it.
But to too many of us the comfort zone is toxic.

Oppressive.
Only one story gets told. All of the other voices are silenced.

Now everywhere that I look no one is saying the words “social change” or “social justice”. Not even to call us activists names.
Nope.
That is so last year.
The new word, “identity politics”. Folks were trying to come up with some way to replace words like Civil Rights and, well, they finally did it.
Everything else still applies.

Know that when WE tell our Truths, our individual truths, the healing becomes deeply embedded in souls & spirits of carriers of long term suffering.
