 Women's organizations such as UN Women make it a practice to center the issues that impact trans women. The same for NOW and Planned Parenthood.

So, do male organizations center the issues of trans men (females)? 

There has never been a time that centering the needs of female human beings has been popular unless there was something for the corporation or organization to gain.  Fighting for female human beings simply because we are human beings and have our own issues that are unique, long ignored, and frequently minimized has never, ever been popular.  

You may be tempted to point me toward organizations and corporations that make products in pastel colors and brightly colored ads.  I can then point you to the billions of dollars that they make selling products to female human beings. Everyone knows about the unique needs of female human beings when profit is involved. That's easy.

But what about when more funding and awareness is required? For instance, when women need more services to:

financially assist women to escape violent relationships, (Domestic violence is the 3rd leading cause of homelessness among families)

gain more training or education, 

provide quality childcare and education no matter where the woman and her children live

heal from sexual violence (a crime where females are overrepresented)

deal with health issues that are specific and unique to female human beings (endometriosis, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, fibroids, pregnancy, hysterectomy, menopause, reproductive rights, etc.)

deal with health issues that impact female human beings more (migraines, chronic pain, pelvic pain etc....)

I must add that Black and Indigenous women have been calling out mainstream women's organizations for decades. They have always seemed to ignore or do the bare minimum for women with issues that intersect with their disability, lack of financial resources, or women facing additional challenges due to racism.  

So, this month, let's look at something important.  These days, mainstream women's organizations rarely are at the forefront of fighting for issues specific to female human beings. Who is then?
