Deep Conversation: Chat & Chew
Across the world, there are communities struggling with racism and violence of all forms.
Thankfully, across the world, there are people boldly advocating for change in those communities.
One of those persons is playwright, director, and community advocate; Akiva McClam.
On May 31, 2019 in the Anacostia neighborhood of DC, the same neighborhood where abolitionist Frederick Douglass resided for 17 years, McClam is bringing together some of the most respected leaders from the community. Hosted by singer/songwriter Setoria, six respected community leaders will bring forth their wisdom, information, and discovered answers as one collective panel.
As the panel will be boldly addressing racism, gun violence, and community involvement; we hope that many Survivors of both domestic violence and sexual violence will be in attendance.
For that matter, anyone who cares about Survivors of domestic and sexual violence are encouraged to attend.
