Survivor Affirmation: I Seek Friendships with People from other Cultures

I seek friendships with people whose cultural makeup is different from mine. Our time together is educational because it gives me an opportunity to learn.

Our time together is educational because it gives me an opportunity to learn.

As a Survivor, I can share lessons, stories, & traditions about healing from my culture with people from other cultures.

Likewise, I look forward to learning brand new lessons on healing from people from other cultures.

Hearing a fresh variety of perspectives helps me to remain humble.

Each encounter with someone from another culture gives the opportunity to learn new ways to grow and build resilience.

My diverse friends remind me that there are worlds of people with views as strong as my own.

But more importantly, my diverse friends remind that there are as many ways to experience healing as there are to experience pain.
