So, WE do Survive abuse.

I can't even describe in words how challenging it is.  I do know that most of us don't do this alone. There is no way that you get through this type of hell, with all of its hurdles, obstacles, and twists and turns, all by yourself.

You will always need strong, resilient, and compassionate people to help you on your healing journey.

I'm posting 8 other websites that provide support, education, and information to Survivors.  Look for more.

Survivors, you are never alone.

WE will arrive at the solutions together.

RESOURCES:

Supports, empowers, educates, and validates Survivors of sexual violence. Free and moderated online support group, chat room, and message board with over 30 different forums. Survivors can connect in real time, share their stories, and ask questions. After the Silence can also be viewed in Spanish.

Founded in 2003, A Long Walk Home, Inc. (ALWH) is a Chicago-based national non-profit that uses art to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to end violence against girls and women.

Compassionate Creations is a Massachusetts chapter of Threads of Compassion.  We are a loosely connected group of survivors of sexual and  domestic violence who desire to offer comfort and support to recent victims.  The idea is simple.

Anyone whose life has been affected by sexual assault or abuse is welcome to crochet or knit a scarf which in turn will be given to a survivor of sexual violence when they enter the hospital for emergency treatment or at their initial meeting with a counselor at the rape crisis center.  Scarves are now also being given out during trainings at domestic abuse shelters.

Welcome to "Dancing In The Darkness", an informative and thought-provoking resource for rape, sexual assault, incest, and sexual abuse survivors. As author of this website, I myself am a survivor of rape and I dedicate Dancing in the Darkness to the thousands of other rape and sexual abuse survivors around the world. It doesn't matter if you are a survivor of date rape, stranger rape, marital rape, incest, sexual abuse, or molestation. You are all welcome here.

A community of abuse Survivors offering peer support through online chats and forums. Fort Refuge also offers a library with resources to help confront some of the difficult issues faced by abuse Survivors, as well as the opportunity to give support to others.

Nonprofit organization dedicated to those who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), those at risk, and even those who care for sufferers. This website has educational materials available to the public-video, articles, books, and other helpful resources.

Incest Resources (I.R.), Inc. is an all-survivor, nonprofit organization. Founded in 1980, it was the first survivor organization in the country. In addition to providing free support groups and workshops for survivors, Incest Resources offers a variety of educational, resource, and recovery materials to survivors and professionals by mail order. The small profits earned on such items are used entirely to help support business operation.

Isurvive is a volunteer-driven organization with a team composed of people from various places around the United States, Australia, Europe and the UK.
We offer resources and forums where adult survivors of child abuse and their loved ones can seek support. We are growing on a daily basis, reaching many people from all over the world and offering hope that healing can happen.

Please feel free to suggest other sites to us! WE would love to share them with our readers.
